MYBI Season cancelled

It is with sadness and hours of research and discussion that MYBI has decided to cancel our baseball and softball league this summer.  The board voted and based on the most recent recommendations from the state of Wisconsin County's Health Department we have decided that this decision is best for our kids safety and well being for 2020 summer league. This will include all league games at Marinette and any All Star tournaments Marinette teams had scheduled. Direct from the County's Health Department  "At this time, the Wisconsin Department of Health Services (DHS) recommends that all youth sporting events planned for this spring and summer be postponed or canceled due to the spread of COVID-19. Youth sporting events present unique challenges, as successful events typically bring in large numbers of teams and families from a wide geographic area, and many require regular interactions between team members and opposing teams. In addition, communal areas like vendor stalls, shelters, and bathrooms at such events makes it especially challenging to accommodate necessary physical distancing and sanitation recommendations during this time."   More information can be found at https://www.dhs.wisconsin.gov/covid-19/community.htm

We are in the process of determining refunds to families.  If families still have yet to pay for candy bars please submit a check of $20.00 ($60.00 less the $40.00 registration fee) to MYBI, PO Box 261, Marinette, WI  54143.  Make sure to include your child's name for identification.

Options for refund at this time will include:

  • making a donation to MYBI for expenses already incurred
  • a check to be mailed for any registration fees owed (per request of parent/guardian)
  • a refund check to be picked up at Manpower, 833 1st Street, Menominee, MI sometime after June 1st after office opens again for business.

Again we are sorry we will not be able to have a season this year based on the pandemic we are all dealing with as a country.  Please stay safe and healthy in 2020 and make the best of quality time that you are able to spend this time with your family.  We look forward to a 2021 season and our goal will be to have an on-line registration process for the upcoming season.  Any questions feel free to call 715-732-6399.
