14 Year Old Babe Ruth Tournament

We look forward to your arrival in Marinette, Wisconsin July 23rd.  We are located 50 miles north of Green Bay, Wisconsin. We border the Upper Peninsula of Michigan. Our baseball complex is one of the finest facilities in the region. In addition to two playing fields, one adjacent practice field will be available. The complex is located several blocks away from our city outdoor swimming pool. Hotels, motels and restaurants are all within a few miles of the field.

Mail by FEDERAL EXPRESS or NEXT DAY U.P.S. or E-MAIL:

a 5x7 or 8x10 black and white glossy team photo.

 

On a separate piece of paper, list team city and state and identify each person (including coaches and bat boy) by FULL name from front to back row, left to right. Include uniform numbers please). Your photo may not appear in the souvenir program if you do not get it to PrintersPlus.

BEFORE YOU COME. . .

The Tournament team manager must place in the custody of the tournament officials the following documents prior to the start of competition:

a.      Birth document or records as specified by Rule 0.04, paragraph 1, for each of the tournament team players.

b.      Accord Certificate of coverage of group accident insurance policy.

c.       Accord Certificate of coverage of league’s commercial general liability insurance policy.

d.      Tournament team roster certified and signed by league president.

e.       Babe Ruth League Inc. Letter of Tournament Eligibility Form.

f.        Consent for treatment form (starting at state level).

g.      Four 5x7 or 8x10 color team photographs with identification.

h.      Coaching Certification I.D. Card or Certificate.

NOTE: These documents must stay in the possession of the tournament director during each tournament level.  These same documents shall accompany the team as they advance in tournament competition.

These additional Babe Ruth Rules will be followed with no exceptions:

a.      Coaches not in full baseball uniforms and no Babe Ruth patches cannot be on the field.

b.      Players not having Babe Ruth patches on left sleeves cannot play.

c.       Coaches not wearing baseball caps cannot be on the field.

d.      Teams can have different color uniforms – must have different numbers.

e.       Must have Official Babe Ruth consent for treatment forms.

f.       Catcher must have throat protector per Babe Ruth Rules.

g.      US Flag patches is optional

 

 

 

 

 

Appoint a team representative to be your team's "reservations coordinator." This person will be the contact person to coordinate arrival and/or hotel reservations. Each team coordinator will be responsible for their team reservations. If the blocked rooms become filled, you may contact other facilities in the area which are listed on the following page.

GENERAL INFORMATION. . .

 Admissions

Tickets can be purchased at Ball Field gate upon entering the field. Daily admission tickets are good for an entire day, NOT just one ball game. Tournament passes are good for ALL games throughout the tournament. Players in uniform and children 5 years and under will be admitted FREE

Concessions. . .

Many food, candy items, and soda will be available at the concession stand. Grilled items will also be served. Grilled items include: hamburgers and bratwurst and sweet corn if available. Hot dogs will be available in the concession stand. A variety Coke products will served.

 NO carry-ins will be allowed in the ball bark or the parking lot throughout the entire tournament. This includes ALL food and beverages.

ABSOLUTELY NO ALCOHOLIC BEVERAGES will be allowed during the tournament in the field as well as in the parking lot.

Souvenirs. . .

Souvenir t-shirts & sweat shirts will be sold at the souvenir stand, adjacent to the concession stand. Custom-designed "Wisconsin State Babe Ruth 14 Year Old Tournament" T-shirts will be available for a cost of $15.00 for all sizes. Sweat Shirts - $30.00.
